Education is a powerful instrument in bringing about the desired changes in the life of an individual and the society as a whole; provided it has good content, coverage and character. If an educated person fails to serve an individual and the society then the education cannot be considered worthwhile.
September 5; the birthday of a great teacher, philosopher, and former president of India Dr. Radhakrishnan; is observed as Teachers' Day to highlight the importance of a teacher, his contribution and his role to shape society. The teacher is a torchbearer. It is he/she who builds the framework for students to become productive citizens. No doubt, there has been a tremendous change in education due to the knowledge explosion.
