ACADEMIC  AND  NON ACADEMIC  ACTIVITES   OF BBA DEPARTMENT IN THE YEAR 2019-2020(JUNE-MARCH)    

JUNE 21st-INDUSTRIAL VISIT

• Industrial visit to THANKAMANY CO-OPERATIVE TEA FACTORY (Sahya Tea)was organized for 2nd year BBA students for fulfilling the requirement to visit a manufacturing unit in the 3rd semester
• Purpose- To impart real time experience and practical exposure to production process, technology etc.

JUNE 28th-Final submission of  industrial(minor) project report

•      Individual project report including factory visit plan, manufacturing process, company profile, illustrations etc.

JULY 11th 2019- FILM REVIEW

• Film review on CHAK DE INDIA ,organized for 3rd year BBA students
• Divided the students into 5groups
• Film show in the forenoon session
• Group presentation and review in the afternoon session
• Purpose- critical evaluation of various situations ,find management related aspects and problems, suggest solutions

JULY 11th and 18th-data collection

• Visit industries chosen for minor project
• Collect primary and secondary data
• Arranged for 2nd year BBA

JULY 12th-BUDGET PRESENTATION

• Union budget-2019  was taken for discussion
• 2nd and 3rd year BBA students are combined and divided into 10 groups.
• Topic under budget are divided for discussion

JULY 19th- ELOQUENCE 2K19

• An intercollegiate debate competition on “union budget 2019-A welfare oriented vision”
•  moderator- shri. Ajesh T Joseph (professor ,Marian college, Kuttikkanam)
• Participated 15 college of Idukki and St. Antony’s college  Peruvanthanam won the prize
• Purpose-to improve negotiation and analytical skills, to arose inquisitiveness

AUGUST 27th-ASSOCIATION INAUGURATION

• BBA Association INSPIRA has been renamed as EMINENCE
• Inaugurated by Shri  V J Joseph (Rtd.Asst Director, Spices Board)  and lead a seminar on “opportunities in agri-business”
• Eat and Meet  together ,a session with senior and junior students was organised
• Cultural activities in the afternoon session 
• Purpose-welcome  newcomers to department and association, commencing current year activities, familiarize junior students to senior students, develop organizing and co-ordination skills, and give a platform to exhibit the talents.

SEPTEMBER(1-30) ADVERTISEMENT PRESENTATION  activity  organized for 3rd year BBA

• Class room activity on the subject organization behaviour
• Given 15 minutes for each student to present  advertisement and related concepts
• Purpose-to improve presentation skills, to identify  the utility of behavioural aspects

SEPTEMBER 20th - submitted Minor project report,2nd BBA

SEPTEMBER 17th - parents meeting  of 3rd BBA

NOVEMBER 12th-INDUSTRIAL VISIT

•   Organized industrial visit for 2nd year BBA   to KAIRALI  channel Thiruvananthapuram
• Purpose-to familiarize students with a service industry. To have a study on various services, mode of providing services, management in service sector etc.

NOVEMBER 18-22-ADD ON COURSE ON GST

• A certificate course named Professional Diploma in GST
• Provided to 3rd year BBA students
• Purpose- is to familiarize students with GST and related aspects

NOEMBER 22nd AND  JANUARY 13 th-SANTHWANAM-SOCIAL OUTREACH PROGRAMME

• During 2019-2020 academic year BBA department initiated a venture “SANTHWANAM”, as part of extension activities of college
• Under this project the students have planned to collect consumable  products from the whole college and donate it to needy people.
• The program is executed in the month of November, by providing necessary  materials to the inmates of ASSISI SNEHASHRAM-ERUPATHEKKARE, at  Kattappana
• Purpose- to provide assistance to people at the time of need, done for public benefit and relief, make a difference to people around us
• As a part of SANTHWANAM ,students collected 25 beds from  in and around college and donated to  snehashram   in the second phase

NOVEMBER 26-29-Industrial visit/tour

• Program for 3rd BBA
• Industrial visit to EZORO TECHNOLOGIES Pvt Ltd ,  a start-up venture located  at the  business incubator of Viswajyoti College , Vazhakkulam
• Purpose- help out knowing better about start up operations and gain better cognizance about hyper local e-commerce industry

 JANUARY 21ST-WORKSHOP ON EDMODO

• Conducted by WOODEN CLOUDS INNOVATIONS

Organized for 2nd year  BBA students in computer lab

JANUARY 29th and 30th-PEER TEACHING

• Classes lead by final year students
•  A teaching –learning environment is re- created in 1 st year  BBA class by 3rd year students under the guidance of faculty on the subject BUSINESS COMMUNICATION
• Purpose- get a deeper insight into some topic as it is easier to understand something when it is explained to others. Also have utility in sharing of knowledge and development of presentation skills.

JANUARY 30TH-GANDHI SMRITI -2020

• Commemoration of martyr’s day and martyrdom of Mahatma Gandhi
• Management ,staff and students  given a tribute to  the martyrs

FEBRUARY 3RD-PAPER PRESENTATION

• Organised  by and for 2 nd year BBA students
• Class room exercise on the topic “  positivity of poor economics in Indian context” and “Role of nationalized banks in promoting economic growth”
• Purpose-Increase the learner’s confidence, poise and self  esteem ,increase higher order and critical thinking skills, help to observe the power of deploying rational reasoned arguments and the evidence in action

FEBRUARY17th- INTERNAL VIVA VOCE ,INDUSTRIAL PROJECT

•      Organised   for  Final year BBA students  as a part of their academic curriculum
• The purpose is to get prepare students for external viva voce
