JPM College is the result of the dream of a group of fathers of the St. Joseph's Province of CST Fathers Aluva, to provide education to the economically and educationally less advantaged people of the High-ranges. In 2005 responding to the request of parents, the priests in the Ashram arranged tuition classes at the Little Flower Ashram. Later the requests of the parents made to start a private open regular junior college which later metamorphosed in to a Private Degree College. In 2008 it got affiliation as an unaided college with 3 UGprogrammes. The JPM campus consists of JPM Arts and Science College, John Paul Memorial B.Ed College and JPM Junior College overlooking the busy Kattappana- Kuttikkanam stretch of the Kattappana Kottayam state highway JPM Arts and Science College has maintained excellent results in university examinations the time of its very beginning, In order to enhance the quality of the teaching and learning process, the college regularly conducts national seminars, add on courses, department-wise and intercollegiate fests, industrial visits, training programmes. etc. The college is keen maintaining high standards of discipline in the campus which goes a long way in fine tuning the potential of the learners The college also provides excellent lab and library facilities for its students and subscribes to various magazines, national ant international journals, books a lid materials for competitive exams such as Civil Service. Milestones in the history of JPM Educational Institutions
- 2005-Started JPM Junior College started (Plus two Open Private School). Rev. Fr. Paul Vettikkattu named the college after John Paul Il namely JPM College.
- B.Com (Private) started in the year 2005.
- June 28, Rev. Fr. Paul Vettikkattu submitted an application for Affiliation under Mahatma Gandhi University.
- 2006 BA English (Private) started.
- 2008 June 02, Sanction obtained from MG University to start B.Com CA, BCA, and BTS programmes.
- Rev. Fr. Paul Vettikkattu appointed as the first Principal of the College.
- Rev. Fr. Johnson Mundiathappointed as Bursar
- Started Off Campus Centre of Bharathiyar University with BBM, B.Com, BA English, BCA and MBA programmes.
- Rev. Fr. Joseph Kattackal CST appointed as Manager.
- 2009 Prof. Johny Thomas, Professor (Rtd), Dept. of Economics, St. George College, Aruvithara took charge as Principal.
- Fr. Anish Angadiath appointed as the Bursar
- 2011 MA English Language and Literature and M.ComFinance) sarictioned by the MG University.
- Fr. Joby Chully appointed as the Manager of JPM Institutions.
- 2010 BA English Language and Literature and BBA courses sanctioned by MG University
- Rev.Fr.Tony Adukuzhiyil appointed as Bursar.
- 2013 B.Com Co-operation started.
- Prof. V. J. Peter, Principal (Rtd), Pavanatma College, Murikkassery was appointed as Principal.
- Minority Status granted to JPM Arts and Science College by Government of Indla on 28/06/2013.The status number is 1230/2013/7078.
- 2014 B.Com Taxation and M.Sc. Computer Science started.
- International seminar held in the college auditorium on "Environmental Protection and Human Rights" in view of Gadgil Report.
- New Building of JPM Arts and Science College blessed by Mar. Mathew Arackal on 7"March.
- 2015 M.Com Banking and Insurance sanctioned.
- Dillington Ladies Hostel of Franciscan Sisters, blessed and inaugurated by Mar Mathew Arackal.
- Dr. K. M Mathew, HOD and Professor (Rtd.), St. Thomas College, Pala took charge as Principal.
- Career Academy- coaching centre for competitive exams was started in October in connection with the decennial celebration of the college (2005- 2015) witha viewto training students for PSC, UPSC and Bank jobs.
- A Motor Driving School was started to help the students.
- The College became the first ISO 9001:2008 certified college in Idukki district.2017 Regular Study Centre of Indira Gandhi Nat ional Open University (IGNOU) started to functionin this campus.
- 2018 Rev. Fr. Jobin Koonamparayil appointed as the Bursar.
- 2019 Rev. Fr. Joby Vellaplackal appointed as the Manager.
- 2020 July o1-Dr. V. V. Georgekutty, former Controller of Examinations, University of Calicut took charge as Principal
- 2021 - Rev Fr Jobin Penattukunnel appointed Bursar
- 2021 March Rev.Fr. Abraham Panikulangara CST appointed as the Manager.
- 2022 Accredited by NAAC with B++ Grade (CGPA 2.85)
- 2022 July 01 Dr. Sabu Augustine, former Vice Principal at Marian college,HoD in mathematics took charge as Principal
- 2023 June 01 Dr Johnson V Principal (Rtd), Pavanatma College, Murikkassery was appointed as Principal.
