        Library Rules

  • Identity Card is compulsory for getting access to the library
  • Registration should be done to become a library member prior to using the library resources
  • No personal belongings allowed inside the library
  • User should show the identity card on the Barcodereader  during entry and exit time
  • Strict silence, decorum and discipline must be maintained in the library.
  • Use of mobile phone is strictly prohibited.
  • Please avoid group discussions inside the Library which causes disturbance to other users
  • No library material can be taken out of the library without permission of the library in charge.
  • The librarian may recall any book from any member at any time and the member shall return the same immediately.
  • Refreshment of any kind shall not be taken anywhere in the library premises
  • Users are required to use the library only for the purpose of reading /Reference work.
  • PG students are allowed to take 5 books for 15 days and UG students can take 3 books for 15, Faculty members can borrow 10 books for 30 days and Non-Teaching Staff are allowed to take 5 books for 30 days
  • If the book is not returned on the due date then a fine of Rs. 1 /- per day (including Saturday, Sunday and holidays).
  • In case the book is damaged or lost, then the user will be required to pay triple of the original cost
  • User should not make any mark or underline anywhere in the book.
  • The borrower will be responsible for the safe custody and return of the books on loan from the library.
  • Books in the reference section will not be lent out, but they may be consulted in the Library.
  • Queue system is to be followed at the circulation counter
  • Please strictly comply the rules and regulations for use of Library
